 A Trip Leader organises small group activities—usually 3 to 10 vehicles—the Trip Leader holds the ultimate responsibility for the safety of the participants and the protection of the environment. A COA Trip Leader can organise small group activities for users of on-road and off-road Recreational Vehicle (RV), ie. caravan and motorhome, camper trailer and fifth wheel, etc. as well as , 4WD and SXS (SSV, UTV, ROV), classic and historic, hot rod and custom, kit car, marque specific, mixed and enthusiast, muscle and performance, modern and special interest, etc. Trip Leaders can organise social opportunities like cruises, meet ups, show and shine, etc. A Trip Leader sanction means the Leader has official permission or approval by COA to receive or entertain members in motor vehicle, recreational vehicle and related activities.  A key group of professionals within the camping, outdoors and accommodation industry got together to work out how to acquire land and establish off grid campgrounds, off road vehicle recreation areas and tiny house parks in suitable localities across Australia. It was decided that the co-operative model was the most appropriate legal model for this enterprise because it was capable of bringing in investment from people and corporations and engaging the same community in its activities through active membership.  The Camping, Outdoors and Accommodation Co-operative Ltd is the result and operates through its trading name of Community Owned Assets (COA) . Recreational automobile clubs in Australia are diverse and include on-road and off-road, 4WD and SSV, classic and historic, hot rod and custom, kit car, marque specific, mixed and enthusiast, muscle and performance, modern and special interest, etc. These clubs provide social opportunities like cruises, meets, show and shine, etc. An Auto Club sanction means the club is permitted to nominate an activity Organiser and has has official permission or approval by COA to receive or entertain members, and or is a venue providing facilities for COA automobile and related activities. The fee for clubs to sanction with COA is conditional upon the number of members in the club. All club members receive free temporary membership to COA to participate in the sanctioned activities.
